Mint is a perennial, herbaceous plant, with square stem, 2 to 3 feet tall. Its leaves are elongated, dark green and its buds are pointy and purple. It blooms in June and July, in lower altitudes and prefers rich, frequently watered soils. It is used in aromatherapy, for pharmaceutical purposes and produces pollen for beekeeping. Mint derivatives are used in liqueur industry, pastry, perfumery and tooth paste industry. In dry form is an excellent infusion, helping digestion and alleviates headaches.
