Lemon balm water(hydrosol) stems from the leaves of the plant(Melissa officinalis), after steam-distillation of the fresh leaves. It contains small amounts of essential oil particles, locked-in the water, after the separation of the oil and liquid. It is used in aromatherapy, as beneficial toners of the facial and bodily skin, as it tightens it, soothing rash and irritation. It relieves from exhaustion and yields a deep sleep. Also, it can be used as a mosquito-repellent, even for kids and infants, spray on exposed skin often.
